π₯ Ingredients
- 1 tin sardines in spring water (drained)
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp flaxseed (ground)

- Preheat oven to 180Β°C (350Β°F).
- Mash sardines thoroughly with a fork.
- Mix in oats, egg, and ground flaxseed.
- Roll out between two sheets of baking paper to about 3mm thick.
- Cut into small squares or rectangles.
- Place on a lined baking tray.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Cool completely on a wire rack.

Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week. Refrigerate for 2 weeks. Freeze for up to 3 months.

Sardines are one of the richest sources of omega-3 EPA and DHA. The bones in tinned sardines provide calcium. Flaxseed adds additional plant-based omega-3s and fibre.
