Nutrition Notes

Turkey is a lean protein source rich in B vitamins and selenium. Pumpkin is excellent for digestive health, providing soluble fibre that helps with both diarrhoea and constipation. Brown rice offers complex carbohydrates and fibre. Spinach provides iron, calcium, and antioxidants. Flaxseed oil adds omega-3 fatty acids for coat health.

Tips

  • Make sure you use plain pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling which contains sugar and spices.
  • Grating the carrots makes them easier to digest and mix evenly.
  • Flaxseed oil can be replaced with fish oil for an omega-3 boost.
  • This meal is particularly good for dogs recovering from digestive upsets.
