Prawn & Seaweed Skin Mineral Boost

The ocean provides some of the most mineral-rich foods on the planet, and this prawn and seaweed bowl harnesses that marine nutrition for your dog's skin. Prawns are rich in astaxanthin — a powerful antioxidant that gives them their pink colour and provides exceptional skin protection. Kelp seaweed adds a spectrum of trace minerals including iodine, which supports thyroid function and healthy skin. This is a unique, mineral-rich meal your dog will love.

Nutrition Notes

Prawns contain astaxanthin — one of the most powerful antioxidants known, with 6,000 times the antioxidant activity of vitamin C. It specifically protects skin cells from UV and environmental damage. Kelp provides over 60 trace minerals including iodine for thyroid function (thyroid disorders commonly cause skin problems), iron, zinc, and selenium. White fish adds omega-3s. The marine mineral profile supports comprehensive skin mineralisation.

Tips

  • Kelp powder should be used in small amounts — 1 teaspoon is sufficient.
  • Prawns must be fully cooked — never serve raw prawns to dogs.
  • Remove all prawn shells and tails before serving.
  • Too much kelp can oversupply iodine — stick to recommended amounts.
  • This meal is particularly beneficial for dogs with dull, lifeless coats.
