Oat & Chicken Fibre Regulator

Oat & Chicken Fibre Regulator

Irregular bowel movements — whether too loose or too firm — often respond beautifully to a fibre-optimised diet. Oats provide soluble beta-glucan fibre that absorbs water and creates a gel-like consistency in the digestive tract, naturally regulating stool firmness. This simple oat and chicken meal is like a daily digestive tonic that keeps everything moving smoothly and predictably. It's become a staple for many dog owners dealing with ongoing digestive irregularity.

Nutrition Notes

Oats provide soluble beta-glucan fibre which forms a gel in the digestive tract — regulating water absorption and normalising stool consistency. Pumpkin's soluble fibre adds additional regulation. Chia seeds provide both soluble and insoluble fibre plus hydrating gel. Yoghurt probiotics support healthy gut bacteria. This triple-fibre approach (oats + pumpkin + chia) is highly effective for stool regulation.

Tips

  • Oats are excellent for both diarrhoea AND constipation — they regulate in both directions.
  • Chia seeds must be soaked first — dry chia can absorb moisture from the digestive tract.
  • If stools are too loose, increase pumpkin. If too firm, add more water to the oats.
  • This can be a daily maintenance meal for dogs with chronic irregular stools.
