White fish is one of the lowest calorie proteins you can feed your dog, and paired with fibre-rich pumpkin, this meal is a weight management dream. The beauty of this recipe is that it looks and smells like a feast to your dog β they have no idea it's actually a diet meal. Pumpkin fills them up with fibre while the fish provides all the protein they need to maintain healthy muscles.

π Nutrition Notes
White fish contains approximately half the calories of chicken per gram while providing excellent protein. Pumpkin is rich in soluble fibre which slows gastric emptying, keeping dogs satisfied. The rice portion is deliberately small β the vegetables provide the bulk.
π‘ Tips
- Use the leanest white fish you can find
- Keep the rice portion small β it's there for texture, not bulk
- Pumpkin is the real star here for making dogs feel full
- Can skip the rice entirely for even fewer calories
