Duck is considered a novel protein for most dogs because it's rarely found in standard dog foods. This makes it an excellent choice for allergy-prone dogs who react to common proteins like chicken, beef, or lamb. Sweet potato provides easily digestible carbohydrate energy without the grains that some dogs are sensitive to. This is a clean, simple meal that minimises the chance of triggering an allergic response.
