Beef & Bone Broth Collagen Skin Firmer

Beef & Bone Broth Collagen Skin Firmer

Collagen is the protein that gives skin its structure, firmness, and elasticity — and it naturally decreases as dogs age. This beef and bone broth meal is loaded with natural collagen that supports skin structure from the inside. The long-simmered bone broth is the key — it's rich in collagen, gelatin, glycine, and proline that the body uses to maintain and repair skin tissue. Think of it as a natural skin-firming treatment in every bowl.

Ingredients

  • 500g beef mince (lean)

Nutrition Notes

Bone broth is the richest natural source of collagen — the structural protein that makes up 70% of the skin's dry weight. When consumed, collagen breaks down into amino acids (glycine, proline, hydroxyproline) that the body uses as building blocks for new collagen in the skin. Cooking rice in bone broth infuses every grain with these collagen peptides. Regular consumption supports skin elasticity, moisture retention, and wound healing.

Tips

  • Homemade bone broth has far more collagen than store-bought — simmer bones for 12–24 hours.
  • The broth should gel when refrigerated — that's the collagen.
  • Cooking rice in bone broth is a simple way to add collagen to any meal.
  • This recipe also supports joint health through the same collagen mechanisms.
  • Apple cider vinegar in your bone broth helps extract more collagen from bones.
